“Next Year in the White House” – Join our Passover call this Tuesday
When we sit down (and perhaps login to Zoom) to celebrate Pesach around our Seder tables next week, many of us will be asking a fifth question – how is this Passover different from all other Passovers?
We all know the answer, and it’s both painful and hard to accept.
The current crisis we’re facing has forced us to separate from loved ones, many in our community are grappling with the harsh repercussions of this deadly illness, and we all are suffering from uncertainty and fear about how this pandemic ends.
We at Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) know that families are hurting, and we share your pain during these difficult times. We’re also here for you as a source of information, opportunity for convening, and conduit for action.
We hope you have been joining our Democrats Leading in Crisis call series, along with hundreds of other Jewish Dems around the country, to hear from Democratic leaders and experts, and provide you with action you can take to bring about political change.
We hope that you’ll join us Tuesday, April 7, at 3:00pm ET, for our next call, which will be a special one called Jewish Dems Progressive Passover – Responding to Adversity Through Politics, Song & Prayer.
This call will feature leaders who are part of JDCA’s Next Generation Leadership Council, including Rabbis Michael Latz and Joel Simonds, for a discussion of four new questions we’re asking this Passover, including steps we can all take to ensure “Next Year in the White House.” The call will also feature a leading voice in contemporary Jewish music, Elana Arian. You don’t want to miss this call, so click on the image below (or above) to sign-up.
Please consider purchasing a JDCA Seder plate today. Proceeds will go to Mt. Sinai hospital in New York to fund personal protective equipment (PPE) for health care workers, which we’ve heard from the heroes on the frontlines in New York is desperately needed. Buy yours today by clicking on the button below. It’s not too late to still get it on time for the holiday.
Finally, in honor of Passover – and since we’re all looking for entertainment – check out Jewish Dems Advocacy Bingo! Play today, post your winning card on Facebook or Instagram and tag JDCA, and we’ll give you a shout out on Tuesday’s call. We already have some winners, and are looking for more. Thanks for playing!
These are difficult times for all organizations, and we are incredibly grateful for your partnership and support. We hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy, and wish you a peaceful Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom,
Ron Klein Chair,
Jewish Democratic Council of America
