Wisconsin
Gov. Tony Evers (WI-Gov)
Governor Tony Evers was elected to his first term as Governor of Wisconsin in 2018. Before his election, Gov. Evers dedicated his life to education, working as a classroom teacher before serving as a principal, school district superintendent, Cooperative Education Service Agency (CESA) administrator, and deputy state superintendent. In 2009, Gov. Evers was elected as state superintendent and was re-elected in 2013 and 2017. He positioned himself as a consensus builder and focused his first Gubernatorial campaign on increasing funding for public education, investing in public infrastructure, and lowering healthcare costs. JDCA endorsed Tony Evers in 2018. Gov. Evers has spoken out against antisemitism and is a dedicated ally to the Jewish community.
Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes (WI-Sen)
Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes has served Wisconsin since 2013, first as a Wisconsin State Representative and then as Wisconsin’s Lieutenant Governor starting in 2019. During his tenure in elected office, Lt. Gov. Barnes has fought for gun violence prevention, promoted innovation, worked to increase health equity, and advocated for criminal justice reform. As a Senator, Lt. Gov. Barnes would build on these progressive ideals and fight to ensure that every American is given a fair shot. He will prioritize tax cuts for the middle class, reducing inflation, supporting Wisconsin small businesses, and strengthening unions. He has been a proud advocate for Democratic values in Wisconsin and we are proud to endorse him.
Brad Pfaff (WI-03)
Brad Pfaff has served in the Wisconsin State Senate since 2020. Prior, he led the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, where he advocated for the needs of farmers and rural communities in areas like broadband internet, healthcare, and education. His issue priorities include making healthcare more affordable, investing in Wisconsin’s infrastructure, supporting farmers, and expanding the accessibility of broadband internet across rural communities. Pfaff is supported by a wide array of labor organizations and is endorsed by outgoing Rep. Ron Kind. Pfaff will face Derrick Van Orden, a Trump-endorsed extremist who was present at the Jan. 6 insurrection. Pfaff strongly supports a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to achieve peace in the region. We are proud to endorse him.
