Last night’s election results were not what we had hoped for, but we are looking at this as a wake-up call and critical inflection point in the lead-up to the 2022 midterm elections. The results in Virginia are as illuminating as they are disappointing. They’ve clarified some key political dynamics in this moment that will help us prepare for the midterm elections, and only strengthen our commitment to advocating for and defending our Jewish and Democratic values.

Our work has never been more critical, and we are recommitting to our mission of serving as the political home for Jewish Democrats. So if you feel frustrated or fatigued by yesterday’s election, you’ve come to the right place. Welcome home, and let’s channel our frustration and disappointment into action.

Thanks to everyone who has supported our efforts, including in Virginia, and we look forward to continuing to work with you to defend and expand the Democratic majorities in the House and Senate. Our campaign to elect Democrats who share our values in the 2022 midterms starts today. Democratic majorities in the House and Senate are slim and we cannot afford to lose any seats. Republicans have embraced anti-democratic tactics to suppress the vote, and we’re countering it. We have to take action NOW so every vote counts in 2022.
