Important Deadlines for Virginia
Voter Registration Deadline: Register by Oct. 17
– Absentee ballots: Application: In-person: Nov. 5, By mail: Oct. 28, Completion: postmarked by Nov. 8 (Election Day), received by Nov. 11
– Early Voting: Starts: Sep.14. Ends: Nov. 5

Rules and requirements
– To register, voters must provide their Social Security number. No ID is required to register.
– Voters must show ID at the polls in order to vote. This does not have to be a photo ID.
– Ballot drop boxes are available.
– Polling places are open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Rep. Elaine Luria (VA-02)
Representative Elaine Luria came to Congress with two decades of experience serving as a Commander in the Navy. Now she is serving our country in Congress, where she is fighting each day for the people of Virginia's 2nd district. Rep. Luria believes that every American should have access to affordable and quality healthcare. She is committed to standing up to large pharmaceutical companies to lower prescription drug prices and protecting individuals with pre-existing conditions from being denied coverage. Rep. Luria supports female reproductive rights and will protect Planned Parenthood. As a veteran herself, Rep. Luria is deeply committed to protecting veterans and their benefits. She has sponsored legislation to expand veterans’ access to job training programs, mental health counseling, and protecting the VA. She is committed to fighting climate change and supports transitioning to a clean and green nuclear energy system. She is also a strong proponent for increased gun safety legislation and supports passing universal background checks on all firearm purchases. Rep. Luria supports a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In Congress, she co-sponsored the United States-Israel PTSD Collaborative Research Act, the U.S.-Israel Anti-Killer Drone Act, and will continue to be a strong ally.  
Rep. Abigail Spanberger (VA-07)
Representative Abigail Spanberger has been a fierce advocate for the people of Virginia’s 7th district since coming to Congress in 2018. Her biggest priorities have been advocating for affordable healthcare, as well as instituting a new assault weapons ban. On healthcare, she is committed to ensuring that every American has affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare. She wants to protect individuals with pre-existing conditions from being denied coverage, and she is a proponent of lowering prescription medication costs and increasing transparency in billing. Rep. Spanberger is a former federal law enforcement officer and understands the importance of responsible gun ownership. She is committed to passing legislation to prevent further acts of gun violence and is committed to keeping our children, communities, and citizens safe. She wants to improve our immigration system, protect DACA recipients, and promote racial justice and civil rights. Through her experience as a former CIA officer, Rep. Spanberger understands that protecting the US-Israel relationship is paramount to our national security. She supports a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and was a staunch proponent of the Iran Nuclear Deal.
Rep. Jennifer Wexton (VA-10)
Representative Jennifer Wexton was first elected to Congress representing Virginia’s 10th district in 2018 and won re-election in 2020. Prior, she was a lawyer and member of the Virginia State Senate. In her first two terms in Congress, Rep. Wexton has made combating gun violence one of her top priorities. She’s also passed legislation to provide additional resources to address the opioid epidemic, and she is fighting to make our economy work for everyone. She has also been a champion in Virginia for enacting mental health reform and combating the heroin and opioid crisis. She believes that healthcare is a basic human right and that it should be made affordable and accessible to all Americans. She is an outspoken advocate for women’s rights and reproductive choices and will fight to lower the costs of prescription drugs while also protecting individuals with pre-existing conditions. She will continue to fight for criminal justice reform, improving education, enacting comprehensive gun violence prevention and safety, climate change, LGBTQ+ rights, and job creation. She is committed to raising the federal minimum wage, passing paid medical leave, and passing legislation to ensure equal pay for equal work.
