New Ad Exposes Republican Extremism, Antisemitism and Threats to Democracy
WASHINGTON – A new hard-hitting ad released today by the Jewish Democratic Council of America’s (JDCA) SuperPAC, JDCA PAC, exposes the GOP as the party of white nationalism, antisemitism and extremist threats to our democracy. The ad begins with former President Trump’s 2020 refusal to condemn white supremacy and instead inciting the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by,” which contributed to the January 6th insurrection.
It includes a charge that “Donald Trump unleashed extremism and political violence in America” and associates this threat with “insurrectionist Republicans” who continue to deny the outcome of the 2020 election. It mentions the fact that every House Republican recently voted against rooting out neo-Nazis in the military, and includes an image of the conservative Supreme Court majority overturning Roe v. Wade.
The ad concludes with an observation and call to action for Jewish voters to support Democrats in the midterm elections: “Today’s Republican Party – white nationalism, antisemitism, extremists taking away our freedoms. Electing Democrats is how we stop them.”
The ad, which will be sent to Jewish voters in multiple states as part of an initial large five-figure digital ad spend, can be viewed here:
JDCA CEO Halie Soifer said:
“This ad underscores that the Trump-led Republican Party of 2022, which has aligned with and refused to condemn extremism, is not only a threat to Jewish Americans’ security, but it’s also a clear and present danger to our democracy, our rights, and our values. JDCA and JDCA PAC will continue to do everything we can to mobilize Jewish voters across the country in support of Democrats, including the release of additional hard-hitting ads targeting Republicans.”
