Jewish Dems Mourn Death of President George H.W. Bush

Washington, DC – Halie Soifer, Executive Director of the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA), issued the following statement on the passing of former President George H.W. Bush:

“JDCA mourns the death of President George H.W. Bush and sends its deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. President Bush dedicated his life to public service and leadership, and embodied grace and civility in politics. He was instrumental in rescuing Jews from Ethiopia, Syria, and the former Soviet Union, for which the entire Jewish community will always be grateful. May his memory be for a blessing.”
