Jewish Dems Endorse in Key House and Senate Races, Pledge Resources to Mobilize Jewish Voters
WASHINGTON – The national voice of Jewish Democrats today announced new House and Senate endorsements – lending critical support to more than 20 candidates nationwide who share the values and priorities of Jewish voters, from protecting abortion access to defending our democracy and combating antisemitism and supporting Israel. The endorsements include Senate candidates Ruben Gallego (AZ), Adam Schiff (CA), Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (FL), and Elissa Slotkin (MI), and House candidates George Latimer (NY-16) and Wesley Bell (MO-01).
The Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA), along with JDCA PAC, uses direct voter contacts and digital advertising to turn out Jewish voters where they have the most impact and elect Democrats. With this round of endorsements, JDCA has now backed 83 candidates this cycle, and wholeheartedly endorsed President Biden and Vice President Harris for reelection.
Ron Klein, JDCA chair, said, “The incompetence of congressional Republicans and the extremism of Donald Trump are a dangerous duo for Jewish Americans. These endorsees not only share our fundamental values as Jewish Americans, but they are experienced leaders who stand fervently against the right-wing extremism that puts our community at risk.”
JDCA PAC launched a $1.5 million mobilization campaign and JDCA remains the only national organization dedicated to mobilizing Jewish voters to advocate for policies and to elect Democrats. The organization recently worked to elect Tom Suozzi in the NY-3 special election and will build off of that success to flip more seats from red to blue.”
