Jewish Dems Endorse in Key House and Senate Races
WASHINGTON – With less than two months until Election Day, the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) endorsed House and Senate candidates in key races where Jewish voters can help ensure Democratic victories. JDCA, the national voice of Jewish Democrats, today endorsed Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE-Sen.), Rep. Andy Kim (NJ-Sen.), Dr. Amish Shah (AZ-01), Assemblymember Laura Friedman (CA-30), State Sen. Sarah McBride (DE-AL), State Sen. Sarah Elfreth (MD-03) and State Sen. Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10).
The endorsements follow the launch of JDCA PAC’s quarter-million-dollar ad campaign in support of the Harris-Walz ticket. As the only national organization solely engaging Jewish voters in support of Democrats, JDCA convenes Jewish Americans, including 12 events at the DNC in Chicago, and contacts voters across the country to get out the Jewish vote for Democrats.
Izzy Klein, Founding JDCA Board member and chair of JDCA’s Political Committee, said on the latest endorsements, “The Democratic Party is the home of Jewish voters, and Jewish voters are integral to Democratic successes in critical races. Our latest endorsements include several history-makers, including Lisa Blunt Rochester, the first Black woman to represent Delaware in Congress; Andy Kim, the first Asian American to represent New Jersey in Congress; Suhas Subrmanyam, a candidate to become the first Indian American to represent Virginia in Congress; Amish Shah, who would be the first South Asian to represent Arizona in Congress; and Sarah McBride, a candidate to become the first openly transgender member of Congress. In House and Senate races across the country, JDCA will mobilize the Jewish vote this November and help make history. The contrast between our inspiring endorsees and their extreme Republican opponents is stark. After more than 32,000 people joined our co-hosted Jewish Women for Kamala launch, and thousands more took part in our programming at the DNC, Jewish voters are fired up and determined to elect candidates who share our values. We are proud to play an active role in contacting Jewish voters and making the case for Democrats.”
