Jewish Democrats Respond to the First Democratic Debate

WASHINGTON: Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) Executive Director Halie Soifer responded to the first Democratic debate:

“The diversity of ideas showcased in the #DemDebate demonstrates why America is ready to elect a Democrat in 2020. We are thrilled there are so many qualified candidates running, with a wide range of backgrounds and experience, and are confident whichever Democrat takes on Donald Trump will win with an overwhelming margin of the Jewish vote. Jewish Americans want a president whose policies are consistent with our values. This includes ensuring access to affordable healthcare, defending a woman’s right to choose, combatting bigotry and discrimination, enacting humane immigration reform, protecting our environment, ending the epidemic of gun violence, supporting a strong U.S.-Israel relationship, and restoring America’s moral leadership in the world.”
