Our Children Are Watching

June 23, 2020

This election is personal, and it will shape the character of our nation for generations to come. Too often we think of events in terms of numbers: 120,000 dead from COVID and millions unemployed amid a crisis made worse by Trump’s corruption and incompetence. Lives have been lost and President Trump’s unconscionable effort to limit COVID testing is no laughing matter.

This morning, I wrote in the Forward that my view of the 2020 election is not driven solely by politics, but, first and foremost, by my perspective as a Jewish mother. Our kids are watching, and they’ve seen the corruption, bigotry, and cruelty emanating from and accepted by this White House. That’s why, as we approach November, it’s clear that this election is about far more than politics. More than anything else, it’s about the fact that our children deserve better. Read more and take action below.

This election matters because it will shape our children’s future, and we owe it to our children to do everything we can to elect officials who share our values. Join JDCA every Wednesday, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM ET, starting tomorrow, to join Jewish Dems across the country as we call and text voters in key swing states. With your help, we will mobilize voters to make a difference in 2020. Sign-up to join us by clicking on the image below.

The best way to remedy incompetent government is to VOTE OUT incompetent office holders. That starts with President Trump, and continues with Republicans who have rubber stamped his agenda in the Senate and House. As New York, Virginia, and Kentucky head to the polls today, join JDCA in our efforts to elect Joe Biden, help to flip the Senate, and ensure Democrats maintain control of the House by joining a JDCA state chapter.

JDCA is mobilizing voters, and we need you to join us in these final months before this critically important election. Please become a part of our growing movement and our efforts to ensure a better and brighter future for all Americans.

Sincerely,

Halie Soifer
Executive Director, Jewish Democratic Council of America
