Promoting Humane Immigration Reform
As descendants of immigrants, American Jews know and understand all too well the horrors of excessive immigration restrictions. Comprehensive immigration offering a path to citizenship for undocumented individuals and families and keeping families together is vital to maintaining America’s values and future. More immediately, Congress must enact protections for “Dreamers,” who face risk of deportation after the cancellation of the DACA program. We strongly oppose the Muslim ban and “zero-tolerance” policy of separating families at the border.
