What Comes Next

Yesterday, 16 JDCA-endorsed candidates won their primary races across the country, due in part to our efforts supporting Democrats who share our values. Many of our endorsed candidates are now positioned to flip House and Senate seats from red to blue, demonstrating that mainstream Democrats remain the key to winning back control of Congress.

JDCA volunteers from across the country made over 100,000 calls into Michigan and Missouri, mobilizing voters for Haley Stevens and Wesley Bell, and creating a growing nationwide network of Jewish activists who made their voices heard.

JDCA congratulates Rep. Wesley Bell on his resounding 22-point victory in Missouri in a rematch against his DSA challenger, Cori Bush. In Michigan, Jeremy Moss overwhelmingly defeated challengers on the far-left, and JDCA endorsees Reps. Hillary Scholten and Kristen McDonald Rivet both advanced to the general election. We also look forward to working to ensure Jocelyn Benson is elected the next Governor of Michigan.

We are disappointed in the result of the Michigan Senate race, which was decided by a razor-thin margin. We are encouraged that it was not a resounding victory by the far-left, as was projected, and proud of the race run by Rep. Haley Stevens. We thank her for her consistent and principled leadership standing with Jewish Americans.

Our work continues, as we engage voters in key districts and states in support of Democrats who share our values in the lead-up to the critically important midterms in November. The most important thing we can do to ensure our voice and values are represented in Congress is to take action in support of the over 140 JDCA-endorsed candidates. 

The path to winning back control of Congress doesn’t go through the far-left. Support our continued work to elect a Democratic majority that aligns with our Jewish and Democratic values as we approach the midterms. All funds raised for JDCA PAC will be spent in the next 90 days to elect Democrats who share our values.
