We endorsed 22 more Democrats this week

March 29, 2024

This week, JDCA announced the endorsement of 22 Democrats who share the values and priorities of Jewish voters, including protecting abortion access, defending our democracy, combating antisemitism, and supporting Israel. The endorsements include Senate candidates Ruben Gallego (AZ), Adam Schiff (CA), Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (FL), and Elissa Slotkin (MI), and House candidates George Latimer (NY-16) and Wesley Bell (MO-01). All of our endorsees share our fundamental values as Jewish Americans and are experienced leaders who stand fervently against the right-wing extremism that puts our community at risk. See all of our newly endorsed candidates.

JDCA ENDORSES 22 CANDIDATES

JDCA is the only national organization dedicated to mobilizing Jewish voters to advocate for policies that reflect Jewish values and to elect Democrats who share our priorities. We saw the impact of our work when we helped elect Tom Suozzi in the NY-3 special election and we will build off of that success to flip more seats from red to blue. Our latest round of endorsements – which will not be our last – includes races critical for Democrats’ chances of winning control of the House. Each of these candidates will play a role in helping Democrats win this November.

At a moment of unprecedented danger for Jewish Americans and for our democracy, JDCA is responding with action at the ballot box. JDCA PAC’s new video, ‘Day One,’ contrasts Donald Trump’s fascism with President Biden’s vision for an American future where our rights and democracy are protected. Watch and share the new video.

JDCA’s next virtual event is on Wednesday, April 10, at 12:00 p.m. ET. We’ll discuss immigration policy and the 2024 election with Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) and Lanae Erickson, Senior Vice President for Social Policy, Education & Politics at Third Way. Register now for this important event.

JEWISH DEMS MOURN THE LOSS OF JOE LIEBERMAN
Joe Lieberman was a trailblazer who made history by becoming the first Jewish American to be nominated on a major party’s ticket when he and Vice President Al Gore won the popular vote in the 2000 presidential election. In his more than two decades as a senator, Lieberman wore his Jewish identity proudly and represented his Jewish values, paving the way for many who came after him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. May his memory be a blessing.

JEWISH DEMS SPEAKING OUT

  • JDCA CEO Halie Soifer was on NPR’s All Things Considered responding to Donald Trump’s latest antisemitic accusations against Jewish Americans for supporting Democrats.

  • Read more about JDCA’s new endorsements in The Washington PostThe New York Daily NewsPunchbowlAxiosYahooJewish Insider, and JTA.

  • Jewish Dems mourned the loss of former Senator Joe Lieberman, the only Jewish American ever to run on the presidential ticket of a major political party.

  • JDCA’s recent trip to Arizona, where we met with Jewish activists supporting Democrats, was featured in Jewish News Arizona.

  • We spoke out against Nick Fuentes – a neo-Nazi who Trumped dined with at Mar-a-Lago – for calling for the mass killing of Jews and non-Christians after his supporters “take power.”

From now until November, JDCA is laser-focused on reelecting President Biden, flipping the House, and holding the Senate. Everything we stand for as Jewish Americans depends on it. Support JDCA PAC today to help us elect candidates who will fight for the issues Jewish Americans care most about.
