Turn Your Outrage Into Action

May 6, 2022

This week was a harsh reminder that the Republican agenda is a blatant and relentless assault on our basic rights. The Jewish community is overwhelmingly committed to fighting for abortion justice, and JDCA will do everything we can to defend the right to safe and legal abortion. Now is not the time for despair. We must channel our outrage into action and advocacy, and ensure we elect Democrats in November. As Speaker Pelosi told Jewish Dems last year, “We don’t agonize, we organize. And with JDCA leading the way, Jewish votes can make the difference.”

Next week, JDCA will advocate for abortion rights when we meet with members of Congress as a part of our Week of Action on May 11 and May 12. Join Jewish Dems on Capitol Hill (virtually) where we will advocate for the domestic policy priorities of most importance to Jewish voters.

Sign up for Week of Action meetings with members of Congress and join our May 10 kickoff event with Senator Cory BookerMichigan State Senator Mallory McMorrow, and Amy Spitalnick, executive director of Integrity First for America.

SIGN UP: WEEK OF ACTION

Immediately following the news that the Supreme Court is preparing to overturn Roe v. Wade, JDCA announced the endorsement of eleven incumbent House Democrats for re-election. These endorsees play a key role in Congress supporting issues of importance to Jewish voters such as defending democracy, combating climate change, preventing gun violence, and combating the rise of antisemitism. Read more about our latest endorsements in The Forward and Jewish Insider.

This week, Jewish Dems protested outside of the Supreme Court to demand reproductive justice. Read why we marched for abortion justice in Haaretz, how 75% of Jewish voters are concerned about the Supreme Court overturning Roe v Wade in Newsweek, and why this moment demands action in the Jerusalem PostYou can also read JDCA’s reaction in PoliticoJewish Insider, and The Forward, and sign up for our Week of Action to advocate for abortion rights on Capitol Hill.

In the lead-up to November, JDCA and JDCA PAC are doubling down on our successful efforts to mobilize Jewish voters in key races across the country. We’re utilizing the same proven model for influencing elections we deployed in past elections — exclusively targeting Jewish voters through targeted engagement in key races. Our winning model was on display this week in the OH-11 primary, as our ads were viewed nearly 500,000 times by Jewish voters in the district. Once again, the Jewish vote and JDCA helped deliver victory for Rep. Shontel Brown. Read more about our highly targeted campaign strategy in The Forward and Jewish Insider.

This is a critical moment for our democracy, and it requires all of us to defend it. Sign up for our Week of Action to make your voice heard.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
