Dear President Biden,

We are writing to thank you for your lifetime of service and record of delivering for the American people. During your presidency, America emerged from the pandemic, created a record number of jobs, and reached the lowest average unemployment in 50 years. We are grateful for your accomplishments – the American Rescue Plan, Infrastructure, Investment and Jobs Act,  Inflation Reduction Act, CHIPS and Science Act, and the first major gun safety bill in nearly 30 years. As Jewish Americans, we are particularly grateful for your defense of our democracy, efforts to counter antisemitism and extremism, and your staunch support of Israel.

On the world stage, you rebuilt and strengthened our international alliances in furtherance of our national security. We deeply appreciated your support of key allies, including Ukraine and Israel, as they faced existential threats.

During your time in the White House, you provided Israel with more military support than any U.S. president in history. You reaffirmed your decades-long commitment to Israel’s security after the horrific attacks of October 7 perpetrated by Hamas, and you have since delivered more than $15 billion in military aid to Israel, in addition to humanitarian aid for the Palestinian people. You ordered the U.S. military to intervene to thwart two direct Iranian attacks against Israel, becoming the first president to deploy American troops to ensure Israel’s defense, and you were the first U.S. president to visit Israel during wartime. You worked tirelessly to ensure the release of 100 hostages in November 2023 and helped to achieve the recent ceasefire agreement that we hope will bring all hostages home.

You also issued the most comprehensive effort to combat antisemitism in American history with the White House National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, which includes more than 100 government actions. As antisemitism on campuses rose in the past year, you affirmed that “there is no place on any campus in America – any place in America – for antisemitism or hate speech, or threats of violence or any kind,” and you secured the largest-ever increase in security funding for Jewish institutions, synagogues, community centers, and day schools.

In your farewell address to the nation, you reminded us that you ran for president because you believed that the soul of America was at stake. While sadly that is again the case today, we deeply appreciate your commitment to defending our democracy and freedoms and opposing extremism and hate. As Jewish Americans, we have been incredibly grateful to know that you have always stood with our community and Israel.

Mr. President, we thank you for your moral clarity, leadership, and lifetime of service to the American people.
