TELL CONGRESS: Hegseth and Waltz Must Resign
In the past two days, it has come to light that Trump’s Defense Secretary, National Security Advisor, the Vice President, and other key members of Trump’s national security team discussed detailed war plans through unsecured channels without realizing they had added a journalist to their group chat.
As today’s publication of the entire Signal chat demonstrates, war planning was done in a way that jeopardized critically important national security interests.
This is a clear demonstration of recklessness and incompetence – but more than that, it’s an egregious threat to our national security.
They disregarded vital protocols in place to protect the U.S. from security breaches. They exposed the name of an active CIA operative. One member of the team was in Russia while receiving this classified information via unsecured channels. And members of the national security team appear to have lied about it before Congress.
Jeopardizing national security demands accountability.
TELL CONGRESS: HEGSETH AND WALTZ MUST RESIGN
As members of Donald Trump’s administration once again demonstrates that they refuse to take their oath of office seriously, members of Congress must call for their resignation. Urge your members of Congress to demand that those responsible for this security breach resign immediately. There must be accountability for such a grave threat to national security.
