TAKE ACTION: Protect Medicaid

Republicans in Congress want to strip healthcare from millions of Americans.

This week, the House GOP is working on its plan to cut billions in healthcare spending, mostly from Medicaid, to pay for tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy. If Republicans get their way, at least 13.7 million Americans will lose healthcare coverage. 

A poll released in May found that 88% of Jewish voters oppose cuts to Medicaid. It’s time to increase the public pressure and make our voices heard and our values known.

Tell your elected officials: Reject the GOP’s cruel attacks on our healthcare.

The $715 billion in cuts to healthcare spending Republicans are trying to push through would leave millions of Americans in danger of losing access to critical care. There is also no way to cut Medicaid without weakening healthcare systems. Hospitals may be forced to shut down departments or close entirely, and access to primary care could be reduced.

All so they can cut taxes for the ultra-wealthy.
