TAKE ACTION: Defend democracy & fight for justice on MLK Day
What’s your New Year’s Resolution? Ours is to continue fighting for racial and economic justice and defend our democracy.
Fighting for justice, which includes defending our democracy and protecting the right to vote, is a cornerstone of our Jewish values. As Judaism teaches us — tzedek, tzedek, tirdof — justice, justice, you shall pursue.
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we are recommitting to this guiding principle. Republicans are working to weaken our democracy by enacting arduous voter suppression laws, purging voter rolls, restricting voting by mail, and reducing the availability of polling places – all of which have a disproportionate impact on suppressing the vote of marginalized communities.
Join us this Martin Luther King Jr. Day by taking action to defend democracy and fight voter suppression. Now more than ever, we must work to strengthen voting rights and never give up on the battle for justice.
Take action today to tell your member of Congress to pass voting rights legislation.
Thank you for your continued support, and we hope you have a meaningful day.
