Jewish Dems Unveil 30 House and Senate Endorsements Across Country, Pledge to Mobilize Jewish Voters to Win
WASHINGTON – In the immediate aftermath of Super Tuesday, the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) announced its endorsement of 30 incumbent House Democrats across the country, the latest in JDCA’s endorsements in the 2024 election cycle and part of its broader effort to ensure Democrats win back control of the House. The candidates endorsed represent districts with substantial Jewish voting populations and who closely align with Jewish voters on a broad range of issues including: protecting access to reproductive health care such as IVF and abortion rights, defending democracy, combating antisemitism, supporting for Israel, and addressing the effects of climate change and the scourge of gun violence.
These endorsements come after JDCA’s success in NY-03, where Jewish voters made a difference in electing Tom Suozzi and flipping that seat from red to blue. JDCA will work to replicate this success on behalf of its endorsed candidates, mobilizing voters with digital ads, phone banks, text banks, ensuring that Jewish voters turnout for Democrats in states and districts where they can make the difference.
JDCA CEO Halie Soifer said, “Jewish voters will continue to play an essential role in this election, flipping control of the House to Democrats and reelecting President Biden. JDCA’s endorsed candidates not only share our fundamental values, but are committed to taking action to defend democracy, protect abortion access, fight climate change, and combat rising antisemitism.
JDCA Political Committee Chair Izzy Klein said, “These members of Congress are longtime friends of Jewish Democrats. They share our values and support President Biden’s approach to national and global security, especially with respect to Israel and Ukraine. Through the advocacy of our grassroots state chapters and JDCA PAC’s targeted digital ads, we will ensure that Jewish vote helps to keep President Biden in the White House and win back the House in November.”
