Jewish Dems Respond to Baseless GOP Attack on the Biden Administration’s Israel Policy

WASHINGTON – Halie Soifer, CEO of the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) released the following statement today:

“No president has done more to stand with Israel and Jewish Americans amid the dangerous rise of antisemitism than President Biden, including through his historic strategy to combat antisemitism.

“Republican attempts to misconstrue the Biden Administration’s return to long-standing bipartisan U.S. policy on the West Bank as antisemitic have no basis in reality. Antisemitism and extremism have found a political home in the GOP, and those Republican Senators attempting to portray it as anything else are deceiving the public and themselves.

“Furthermore, the Republican threats to derail Biden administration nominees will leave critical national security posts vacant. Senate Republicans’ refusal to confirm these nominees, including our next ambassador to Israel, will only undermine our national security, as well as that of our allies, including Israel.

“Jewish Americans will remember which party is responsible for this chaos next November, when they overwhelmingly vote for Democrats because they trust Dems more on every issue, including combating antisemitism, according to a recent poll.”
