Jewish Dems Praise President Biden’s State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON – Following President Biden’s State of the Union address, Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) CEO Halie Soifer said the following:

“The state of our union is strong because of President Biden’s leadership and policies, which align with the priorities and interests of Jewish Americans. Jewish Dems applaud President Biden for his moral clarity, leadership, experience, and wisdom – all of which he demonstrated in tonight’s State of the Union address. We share his optimism and vision for the future, and will work to ensure he’s in office for four more years so he can continue to deliver for the American people.

“In tonight’s speech, President Biden strongly reiterated his commitment to defending our democracy, protecting reproductive rights, combating hatred, continuing to strengthen the economy, supporting allies including Israel and Ukraine, and releasing the hostages still held by Hamas. These are critically important issues for Jewish voters, and we applaud the President’s commitment to delivering on these and other issues. 

“Tonight’s speech underscored that the choice could not be clearer in this election. MAGA Republicans, including Donald Trump, pose a grave threat to our democracy, rights, security, and freedoms. The GOP’s policies are antithetical to Jewish values, and we’ll do everything we can to mobilize Jewish voters to re-elect President Biden, flip the House from red to blue, and hold the Senate majority in November.”
