Jewish Dems on the Killing of Sinwar

WASHINGTON – Following the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza, Halie Soifer, CEO of the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA), released the following statement:

“Yahya Sinwar was a brutal terrorist with Israeli and American blood on his hands. As the mastermind of the October 7 attack, Sinwar is responsible for the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust, the brutal rape and sexual assault of countless victims, the execution of hostages, the abduction of more than 240 people, and the continued detainment of approximately 100 Israelis, Americans, and others held in Gaza.

“Immediately after October 7, President Biden directed military resources to work with Israel to locate Sinwar and to bring him to justice, and today, justice has been served. The Biden-Harris administration continues to take unprecedented action to stand with Israel and ensure its right to self-defense amid ongoing threats from Iran and its proxies. We appreciate the efforts of the Biden-Harris White House supporting Israel’s defense and efforts to eliminate the threat posed by Hamas and join them in calling for the immediate release of the hostages still held in Hamas captivity. 

“By eliminating Sinwar, Israel has ensured a critical measure of justice, freeing Israelis and Palestinians alike from his reign of terror.”
