Jewish Dems Mourn the Loss of Joe Lieberman

After the death of Senator Joe Lieberman, the only Jewish American ever to run on the presidential ticket of a major political party, Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) Board Chair Hon. Ron Klein released the following statement:

“Joe Lieberman was a trailblazer who made history by becoming the first Jewish American to be nominated on a major party’s ticket when he and Vice President Al Gore won the popular vote in the 2000 presidential election. In his more than two decades as a senator, Lieberman wore his Jewish identity proudly and represented his Jewish values, paving the way for many who came after him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. May his memory be a blessing.”
