Jewish Dems Endorse Two Additional House Candidates in Close Races Against Extremist Republicans
WASHINGTON – The Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) announced today its final two endorsements in the 2022 election cycle: Adam Frisch in CO-03 and Marie Glusenkamp Perez in WA-03. With these additions, JDCA has now endorsed 124 candidates who share the values and priorities of Jewish voters, from defending democracy to ensuring access to abortion.
JDCA’s two latest endorsees are running against extremist MAGA Republicans on the ballot this November. Adam Frisch is running against Rep. Lauren Boebert, the incumbent in CO-03, who is infamous for her Christian nationalist rhetoric and support for the antisemitic QAnon conspiracy theory, and well as her strong opposition to gun safety measures. This race presents a critical opportunity for Democrats to remove a MAGA extremist from Congress and replace her with a strong Jewish Democrat who shares JDCA values.
Marie Glusenkamp Perez is running in WA-03 against Trump-endorsed Joe Kent, who has numerous ties to dangerous extremist groups including the Proud Boys and Patriot Prayer. His campaign has sought support from the white nationalist group “Groyper Army,” which attended the 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
These endorsements come shortly after JDCA PAC released its newest national ad, “Hate Does Not Stop Itself,” which highlights the hatred, bigotry, antisemitism, and fascist leanings that have overtaken the Republican Party, warns that “history may repeat itself, unless we act. Hate and tyranny don’t stop themselves, they must be stopped. Vote – everything depends on it.”
JDCA CEO Halie Soifer said, “Lauren Boebert and Joe Kent epitomize the clear and present danger that Republicans present to our community and country. Jewish Dems will do everything in our power to elect Adam Frisch and Marie Glusenkamp Perez and keep MAGA-extremists, like Boebert and Kent, out of Congress.”
