Jewish Dems Endorse Key House and Senate Candidates, Continue to Mobilize Jewish Voters Nationwide to Elect Democrats
WASHINGTON – As the general election cycle gets underway, the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) endorsed more incumbents and candidates for House and Senate who defend Jewish values and stand up against MAGA extremism. Today, JDCA endorsed Rep. Lois Frankel (FL-22), House candidates Laura Gillen (NY-04), Janelle Bynum (OR-05) and Janelle Stelson (PA-10), and Senate candidate Angela Alsobrooks (MD).
Across the country, JDCA will deploy its proven model of turning out the Jewish vote and electing Democrats. Just last month, JDCA successfully mobilized the Jewish vote for George Latimer’s successful primary campaign in NY-16. Earlier this cycle, JDCA endorsed and mobilized volunteers for Rep. Tom Suozzi during his special election campaign in NY-03.
Hon. Ron Klein, JDCA Board Chair, said, “The contrast has never been clearer between Democrats who share the priorities of Jewish voters and Republicans who echo Donald Trump’s extremism and hate. Our efforts to turn out the Jewish vote have made the difference before and will make the difference again for our endorsed candidates this November. Our endorsements reflect our Jewish and Democratic values, and we are proud to support over 100 candidates across the country.”
Izzy Klein, JDCA Political Committee Chair and a resident of Maryland, said, “Angela Alsobrooks will provide a critical voice in support of our Jewish values in the U.S. Senate. Alsobrooks is a friend to Jewish Marylanders and will defend democracy, abortion rights, and support for Israel in the Senate. Marylanders, especially Jewish Marylanders, will strongly reject Alsobrooks’s Trump-endorsed opponent. ”
