Jewish Dems Endorse House, Senate, and Gubernatorial Candidates
Latest JDCA Endorsements Bring Total to 130+ Candidates
WASHINGTON – The Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) endorsed ten additional candidates for the House, Senate, and governorships across the country, bringing the organization’s total endorsements this cycle to more than 130.
Among this tranche of endorsements, JDCA backed Texas Senate candidate James Talarico and two New York members of Congress facing primary challenges: Reps. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) and Grace Meng (NY-06). This cycle, JDCA and JDCA PAC are leading a seven-figure effort to mobilize Jewish voters nationally, the organization’s largest spend in a midterm election to-date.
The latest endorsed candidates are:

- James Talarico (TX-Sen.)
- Jocelyn Benson (MI-Gov.)
- Jonathan Nez (AZ-02)
- Donna Miller (IL-02)

- Grace Meng (NY-06)
- Adriano Espaillat (NY-13)

About the endorsements, JDCA CEO Halie Soifer said:
“The Jewish vote will continue to play an essential role in a winning Democratic coalition, including in primary races. The candidates who have earned JDCA’s support this cycle have demonstrated a commitment to the issues of importance to Jewish voters, including defense of democracy, combating antisemitism, and supporting Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state. Among this latest group of endorsees are candidates taking on extreme Republicans in the general election and Democratic incumbents facing far-left primary challengers who don’t share the values and views of their Jewish constituents.
“While 70% of Jewish voters maintain an emotional connection to Israel, according to recent polling, Jewish Americans are weighing a wide range of issues when casting their votes. Each candidate who has earned JDCA’s endorsement shares our commitment to the U.S.-Israel security relationship, even as many, like the majority of Jewish American voters, disapprove of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s leadership and certain policies of the current Israeli government.
“In New York, we’re proud to support two trailblazers in Congress – Reps. Adriano Espaillat and Grace Meng, along with existing JDCA endorsee Dan Goldman – who have stood with Jewish Americans, whereas their primary opponents have not. Rep. Espaillat’s opponent, in particular, took part in a celebratory rally the day after the horrific October 7 attacks perpetrated by Hamas. That kind of hate has no place in Congress.
“In Texas, we’re proud to support James Talarico, whose principled values-driven politics align with the vast majority of American Jews. His opponent, Ken Paxton, is the second most corrupt politician in America behind Donald Trump, and we’re sick of the corruption and chaos emanating from this White House.
“Through our ad campaigns and direct Jewish voter contact efforts, JDCA and JDCA PAC will play a vital role in ensuring that the Jewish vote turns out for our endorsed candidates, which will help to ensure Democrats take back control of Congress in November.”
