Jewish Dems Applaud Vice President Harris’s Debate Performance, Condemn Donald Trump’s Extremism and Lies

“Tonight, the American people saw a contrast between the two presidential candidates that has never been greater in our history. Vice President Harris demonstrated moral clarity, leadership, strength, and command of the issues. She provided solutions to the challenges facing the American people and a forward-looking vision for our future.

“On Israel, Harris demanded a release of the hostages and affirmed that she will always give Israel the ability to defend itself. She called out antisemitic hate, including that espoused by neo-Nazis in Charlottesville whom Trump embraced.

“By contrast, Donald Trump espoused grievances, insults, bluster, and lies. He expressed no position on Israel. Once again, he failed to condemn white supremacy. His comments tonight were backward-looking, devoid of substance, and detached from reality.

“According to our latest polling, 72% of Jewish Americans support Harris over Trump. That’s because the vast majority of Jewish voters reject Trump’s antics and vitriol, including those targeting our community, while Vice President Harris stands with the vast majority of Jewish Americans when it comes to defending our democracy, ensuring abortion access, combating antisemitism, and standing with Israel.

“Jewish voters are going to play a critical role in electing Kamala Harris because we understand that our country, community, and democracy cannot afford another four years of Donald Trump.”
