Jewish Democratic Council of America Endorses Tom Suozzi for Congress And Pledges Competitive Ad Buy

Jewish Dems praised Suozzi’s experience and positions on key issues as he runs in one of the most Jewish congressional districts in the country.

WASHINGTON – On Tuesday, the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) announced its endorsement of Tom Suozzi for New York’s Third Congressional District, which has the fourth-highest estimated Jewish voter population of any congressional district in the country. With this endorsement, JDCA will mobilize and target Jewish voters in the district in support of Suozzi, and JDCA PAC pledged a five-figure ad spend in support of Suozzi prior to the February 13 special election.

On the endorsement, JDCA Board Chair Hon. Ron Klein, said:
“Tom Suozzi has the credentials and experience to serve the people of New York’s Third Congressional District and fight back against the extremism of the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. Mike Johnson and his Republican majority are attacking Americans’ reproductive rights and our freedoms. Electing Tom Suozzi will lower Republicans’ House majority to just one seat, making it harder for Speaker Mike Johnson to advance extremist policies and legislation.” 

JDCA CEO Halie Soifer, said:
“By JDCA’s estimate, 11% of the voting population of New York’s Third Congressional District is Jewish, the vast majority of whom are Democrats. That’s why JDCA PAC is investing in an ad campaign to mobilize Jewish voters in NY-3 – we know the Jewish electorate can make the difference for Tom Suozzi and bring Democrats one seat closer to reclaiming the House majority.”
