JDCA condemns Rep. Steve King (R-IA) for retweeting neo-Nazi content

The Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) issued the following statement in response to Iowa U.S. Rep. Steve King’s promotion of social media content from a neo-Nazi:

We are deeply disturbed by Rep. Steve King’s repeated retweeting of content from Mark Collett, a British neo-Nazi who has espoused statements that are racist, anti-Semitic, and xenophobic in nature, as well as Holocaust denial. Rep. King’s actions are unconscionable, and JDCA condemns this behavior in the strongest possible terms. They are unbecoming of a member of Congress, and should be condemned by representatives of both parties. The Trump administration has created an environment in which hatred, intolerance, and division along racial and religious terms has grown in American society and discourse. JDCA remains vigilant in combating anti-Semitism, racism, and bigotry in all its forms.
