Praying with our feet and taking action

Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel famously claimed he was “praying with his feet” while marching with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for justice, equality, and civil rights. At the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA), we are praying with our feet by marching to the U.S. Capitol at the No Fear: A Rally in Solidarity with the Jewish People and against antisemitism, and by advocating for candidates and policies that align with our Jewish and Democratic values.

Join us at the No Fear: A Rally in Solidarity with the Jewish People rally in Washington, D.C., where JDCA Board Chair Ron Klein will deliver remarks calling on all Americans to condemn and take action against antisemitism wherever it may occur. We’ll be marching in solidarity with other national Jewish organizations, including the AJC, ADL, and NCJW. We’re also marching with our feet to elect Democrats who share our values, and help Democrats maintain and expand their House majority. That’s why JDCA endorsed Shontel Brown in the OH-11 Democratic primary. Brown is the only elected official running in the race and has the leadership and experience necessary to deliver for the people of OH-11. Brown shares our Jewish and Democratic values on a wide range of issues, including access to affordable, quality health care, taking action to end gun violence, protecting our democracy, ensuring equity and justice for all, and supporting – not politicizing – the U.S. relationship with Israel. Early voting started this week, and so did our campaign to elect Shontel Brown.
