Next Year in a Democratic Majority
Every year, Jews around the world gather to celebrate Passover and recount the story of our exodus from Egypt more than three thousand years ago. The Passover story reminds us that our freedom – much like our democracy – is our responsibility to defend. As we read from the Haggadah and draw parallels to the current day, it is our responsibility to push back against authoritarianism, stand up for the most vulnerable among us, and fight for freedom, including the right to vote.
While Moses told Pharaoh, “Let my people go,” this year, we’re saying, “Let my people vote.”
One of the most important lessons of Passover is that we, too, were strangers in a strange land. Jews are called upon to welcome the stranger more than any other commandment in the Torah. We are obligated to speak out and take action to defend vulnerable communities, democracy, and the democratic institutions that protect all of us, including Jewish Americans.
At JDCA, we know that helping Democrats who share our values win elections is the most important thing we can do to defend our rights and freedoms in 2026. As your political home to defend democracy and freedom, we hope you will join us by supporting our work today.
Major Democratic victories in 2025 and the growing wave of Democratic wins and overperformances in special elections demonstrate that the American people want change. The 2026 midterm elections are just seven months away, and we’re doing all we can to create change at the ballot box.
As we mobilize and engage Jewish voters to meet this moment, we hope you will join us as a 2026 JDCA Member. If you are already a member of JDCA, thank you, and please consider deepening your engagement and renewing your commitment during this season of Passover, when we are focused on freedom. JDCA membership is more than a statement of values – it is an opportunity to take action when and where it matters most. We have a record of accomplishments that we’re continuing to build on by helping Democrats win in this election and beyond.
We at JDCA are fighting for the values represented on our JDCA Seder Plate, and we hope you’ll join us by defending freedom and democracy in 2026. We encourage you to use JDCA’s Passover Companion, including our Values Seder Plate, to supplement your Haggadah during the Seder to spark meaningful conversation, and we wish you a Chag Pesach Sameach.
Next year in a Democratic majority.
Warmly,
Susie Stern
