👉 Meet the Freshmen Jewish Dems

January 13, 2023

Just as the 118th Congress has officially commenced, we are thrilled to kick off our new “Meet the Members” series, introducing you to the 31 Jewish Democrats elected to the House and Senate. In this series, you will hear from the members in their own words about how their Jewish values inform their work in Congress. As the voice of Jewish Dems, JDCA looks forward to bringing you these important voices and views from the Hill, and we’re proud of the fact that the overwhelming majority of Jewish members — 31 of 33 — are Democrats.

Today, we’re kicking off the series with the four Jewish “freshmen,” or newly-elected Democrats in the 118th Congress: Reps. Dan Goldman (NY-10), Jared Moskowitz (FL-23), Becca Balint (VT-AL), and Greg Landsman (OH-01). We look forward to working with them and other Democrats to advance our shared values including defending democracy, pursuing justice, combating antisemitism and extremism, protecting abortion access, and supporting the U.S.-Israel relationship.

This week, we asked each member of Congress the same question – What does being a proud Jewish Democrat mean to you? Read their responses and learn more about these new Jewish Democratic leaders in the House of Representatives.

We thank Reps. Goldman, Moskowitz, Balint, and Landsman for their partnership and look forward to continuing to bring you voices from the Hill, ensuring you meet the Members that we all helped to elect.

Thank you for your continued support of JDCA.
