🌟 Leading and Creating Change 🌟

September 22, 2023

Dear Friend,

As we prepare for Yom Kippur, we wish you and your family G’mar Chatima Tova and an easy and meaningful fast. As we reflect on the change we’d like to see in the new year, we are inspired by JDCA’s vision to bring about a just and equitable society, safe and secure Jewish communities, and strong and vibrant democracies in the United States, in Israel, and around the world.

With your continued support, we will work to realize this vision by taking action to elect those who share our values, including in the 2024 election. And we’re encouraged by recognition that JDCA is leading and creating change. This week, Halie was featured in Haaretz as “Shaking Up the Jewish Old Boys’ Club,” highlighting the importance of women leaders in the Jewish community. We’re proud to be among the Jewish organizations led by women profiled in this important article.

As we enter the new year, JDCA will continue to lead. We will lead on gender equity and equality, democracy, gun safety, abortion access, climate change, and in the fight to re-elect Democrats who align with our core values. And we hope you’ll join us.

Please continue to be a part of our efforts, and — in case you missed it — check out our recent op-ed on “What Donald Trump Doesn’t Understand About U.S. Jews,” responding to Trump’s Rosh Hashanah message.

As we approach the one year mark from the 2024 election, we are excited to introduce a new special series — “The Road to 2024.” Our first event will focus on voting rights, and it will feature political commentator Brian Tyler Cohen in conversation with Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar and Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. We hope you will join us on October 3.

Shabbat Shalom and G’mar Chatima Tova,
