Key takeaways for Jewish voters from the debate

September 11, 2024

Last night’s debate was the greatest contrast between two presidential candidates in our history. As I wrote in today’s Jerusalem Post, “Vice President Harris demonstrated steady leadership, moral clarity, and command of the issues. She provided solutions to the challenges facing the American people and a forward-looking vision for our future. In the shadow of Harris’s strength, Donald Trump was exposed as a weak, aspiring emperor with no clothes. Trump was untethered to the truth, utterly devoid of substance, and detached from reality.”

This was especially apparent when the candidates spoke about key policy issues of importance to Jewish voters, including Israel. Read my op-ed here and share it with friends who need to hear the facts on Israel, including from the debate.

Earlier today, JDCA was joined by political strategist Simon Rosenberg to debrief last night’s debate. Simon, who leads the Hopium Chronicles, broke down the ways Kamala Harris baited Trump and clearly, decisively, and overwhelmingly won the debate. He summarized how Harris was – and we should all be – on the offense. “She is not intimidated by him [Trump]…We’ve got to be a little bit careful not to give the authoritarians power they don’t actually have.

He’s exactly right. Donald Trump is nothing more than a blustering, lying, aspiring dictator. He can be defeated, and Jewish voters can and will make the difference.

But the election will be close, so watch the debate debrief now and learn how you can help Vice President Harris and Democrats who share our values win in November. And for the specific discussion on Israel, please click here.
