Keep Your đź‘€ on the Prize

Our rights, safety, and democracy are on the line in the 2024 election. We cannot let the Republican Party’s political games and attempts to deflect from threats to our community and country distract us. We are focused on the issues that matter most to Jewish voters: defending democracy, preserving abortion access, and protecting our children from gun violence and the danger of right-wing extremism. That means we must concentrate on advocating for our values and electing Democrats, like President Biden, who share those values — and that’s precisely what JDCA is doing.

Extremists have found a political home in today’s Republican Party. If they win the presidency and control of Congress, they will enact a policy agenda that is contrary to our values and will endanger our community. We’re already seeing the GOP’s extremist agenda in Florida — led by Governor Ron DeSantis — targeting Holocaust education, LGTBQI+ rights, abortion access, and democracy. We have to keep our eyes on the prize and continue to lay the groundwork for Democratic wins in the 2024 election.

Republicans continue to deflect by pointing to a handful of Democrats who, on any given issue, are out of step with the vast majority of Democrats and every member of Democratic leadership. But we at JDCA will not be taken off course. We will remain laser-focused on the leadership and mainstream of each party, where it is undeniable that only the Democratic Party is aligned with the vast majority of Jewish Americans on Israel and every other issue that matters to Jewish voters.

This year, JDCA has revamped our mission, vision, and strategy to convey the vital work we are doing as an organization in 2023, 2024 and beyond:

Mission: The mission of the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) is to be the political home and voice of Jewish voters in support of Democrats who share our core values. Vision: A just and equitable society, safe and secure Jewish communities, and strong and vibrant democracies in the United States, in Israel, and around the world. Strategy: Advocate for policy, educate and mobilize Jewish voters, and elect Democrats, all consistent with our core values.
