Here’s what you can do today for Jewish safety
In the aftermath of the recent terror attack in West Bloomfield, Michigan, we must stand together for our community’s safety, security, and values.
We encourage you to take action today for Jewish safety and call on members of Congress to take the necessary steps to keep us safe.
Here are two actions you can take today:
1. Share JDCA CEO Halie Soifer’s recent op-ed: Stop Rationalizing Antisemitic Violence. While events in the Middle East may contribute to the increased security threat facing American Jews, Israel should never be used as an excuse or justification for antisemitic violence. Everyone needs to hear this message right now, and you can share the op-ed on Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, Twitter, and Substack.
2. Write to your members of Congress and urge them to strengthen synagogue security funding to keep Jewish Americans safe. Despite the Trump administration’s attempts to minimize and politicize security funding – including by making synagogues acquiesce to his agenda – the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) must receive increased security funding to keep Jewish Americans, and all Americans, safe.
Thank you for being a part of our movement and taking action with JDCA today.
In solidarity,
Sam Crystal
