Eight years at JDCA
Today marks eight years since I began as the first employee of JDCA. Together, with the JDCA’s leadership and supporters, we’ve grown into a movement that serves as the political home of Jewish voters in support of Democrats who share our values.
JDCA is larger and more impactful than ever before. Our Board, National Leadership Council, staff, volunteers, lay leaders, and thousands of supporters have made our growth possible. Over the past eight years, JDCA has flourished from an idea into a national movement for political change, consistent with our values.
Thanks to supporters like you, we can play an essential role helping Democrats win elections and continue to demonstrate the power of the Jewish American vote, which is an essential component of a winning Democratic coalition.
In today’s short video, I share my thoughts on eight years of JDCA, how our nation’s capital – my home – has changed in Trump’s second term, and how his “botched” D.C. renovations are a perfect metaphor for his presidency. Trump’s wrecking ball to the capital underscores just how important it is to elect Democrats who share our values, restore guardrails in government, and defend our democracy in the midterms.

When you subscribe to JDCA’s Substack, you’ll receive two emails each week: our Monday video briefing and my Friday column with deeper analysis on what’s happening in our country and around the world. ICYMI – last week’s column was What Makes This Election Different for American Jews.
Thank you, again, and I look forward to working with you over these next 155 days – and next eight years! – to demonstrate the importance and power of the Jewish vote.
In solidarity,
Halie Soifer
CEO, Jewish Democratic Council of America
P.S. In honor of JDCA’s growth, I wanted to share a short video, a highlight reel from our recent Leadership Summit, which serves as a testament to our leading the charge to defend democracy and other core Jewish values. Watch and share.
