Biden Delivers on the Issues

February 2, 2024

Earlier this week, we shared six ways Joe Biden is delivering on issues important to Jewish Americans. The president is working hard to protect reproductive freedomdefend democracy, and sustain economic growth. Since their first day in office, President Biden and Vice President Harris have made these issues a priority, in addition to their commitment to combating antisemitism and ensuring Israel’s security and future as a Jewish and democratic state.

This November, our values, democracy, and personal freedoms are on the ballot. As the political home and voice of Jewish voters, JDCA is advocating for policies and supporting Democrats who share our core values, including Joe Biden. By taking action with JDCA and supporting JDCA PAC, you can help grow our movement to mobilize Jewish voters in support of Democrats. Read and share six of the ways Joe Biden is delivering for Jewish Americans, join our efforts to get out the Jewish vote in the NY-3 special election, and sign up for our community conversation with the families of hostages taken by Hamas on October 7.
SIX WAYS PRESIDENT BIDEN IS DELIVERING FOR JEWISH AMERICANS

COMMUNITY CONVERSATION: BRING THEM HOME
It’s been 118 days since Hamas’s horrific attack on October 7, and Jewish Dems continue to demand the safe return of the more than 100 hostages still being held in Gaza. On Wednesday, February 7, at 12:30pm ET / 9:30am PT, join us to hear from Israelis whose family members were taken hostage by Hamas on October 7. GET OUT THE JEWISH VOTE IN NY-3 WITH REP. DAN GOLDMAN
In just eleven days, there’s a special election in New York that could bring House Democrats one seat closer to securing the House majority. Join our efforts to elect Democrat Tom Suozzi in the NY-3 special election to replace disgraced former Rep. George Santos. By JDCA’s estimate, 11% of the voting population of NY-3 is Jewish. Flipping this seat from red to blue is critically important for taking back the House, and the Jewish vote will play a critical role in shaping the outcome of this race.

Join JDCA’s phone banks every Tuesday and Thursday through February 13. This Tuesday, we will be joined by Rep. Dan Goldman (NY-10), who will discuss the importance of electing Tom Suozzi and the threats posed by the GOP to our democracy. Join us on Tuesday, February 6 at 5:00 P.M. ET / 2:00 P.M. PT.
HELP GET OUT THE VOTE IN NY-3

JEWISH DEMS SPEAKING OUT
JDCA continues to speak out as the national voice of Jewish voters in support of Democrats and in advocating for policies that reflect our values. Check out some of our recent interviews and analysis in the press.

  • JDCA spoke to the Washington Post about the leadership of Second Gentleman Emhoff and the Biden Administration in combating antisemitism. The Biden Administration is standing up for Jewish Americans and “will take every step to combat antisemitism in all its forms.”
  • The Jerusalem Post highlighted JDCA and JDCA PAC’s plans to ensure Democrats win in 2024 and emphasized that “there could not be any candidate whose views were more antithetical to those of Jewish Americans than Donald Trump.”

  • JDCA praised President Biden in Jewish Insider, saying he “could not be more supportive of Israel and efforts to bring about regional security.”
  • In Politico, JDCA made it clear that “President Biden stands with innocent Israelis and Palestinians, and Jewish Americans stand with President Biden.”
  • In Haaretz, JDCA lauded President Biden for his policy toward Israel, explaining that “one element of this policy has been staunchly supporting Israel’s actions against Hamas, which the U.S. Treasury has sanctioned five times since October 7. Another element is sanctioning Israeli extremists who perpetrate violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, undermining prospects for security and peace.”

We could not do this work without you, and we’re grateful for your partnership. Thank you for your continued support of JDCA and JDCA PAC as we lay the groundwork for wins in this critically important election.
