An Indictment of the GOP
Tonight, Republican candidates for president will gather in Milwaukee for the first primary debate of this election cycle. We’re watching and previewing the Republican debate so you don’t have to.
One candidate who qualified for tonight’s debate will not be on the stage: Donald Trump. This debate is almost meaningless; it’s a showcase for Republicans who want to be Trump’s running mate or who hope that Republican voters will turn off Fox News, come to their senses, and realize that a candidate with four indictments and two impeachments should not be leading the polls for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination. The remaining Republican candidates have yet to earn their first indictment or impeachment but are unqualified to hold the nation’s highest office.
Every candidate who will be on the debate stage tonight embraces positions that are antithetical to the values of Jewish Americans. They all oppose key voting rights legislation, abortion access protections, legislation to combat climate change, the Biden-Harris economic agenda, and a national ban on assault weapons.
Every GOP candidate running for president stands against our values. The work of restoring the soul of America is not done. We are part of the movement to ensure President Biden and Vice President Harris are re-elected to finish the job.
