This is a difficult time for all of us. Our lives have abruptly and unexpectedly changed, we are praying for the health of our communities and loved ones, and we don’t know when or how this pandemic will end.
In these uncertain times, the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) is here for you, as a resource for information and as a network for organizing.

In addition to serving as a resource, you can count on JDCA to be adapting our plans, including how we’re organizing around elections, to ensure the safety and security of our staff, organizers and supporters.

The impact of elections, including the outcome of the 2016 presidential election, have never been clearer. This is the time for critically-needed leadership in Washington, and unfortunately, that’s not what we’ve seen in recent days and weeks from our president.
When President Trump declared a travel ban without preparation, our airports were grossly over-crowded with travelers putting themselves and others at risk of contracting the virus.
When the House passed a much-needed bipartisan coronavirus relief package on Friday, the GOP-controlled Senate took a break for the weekend, and it still remains uncertain when and how this bill will pass.
And coronavirus testing continues to be unavailable to those across the country. How can we combat this virus if we can’t identify it?
At the exact time we need leadership, empathy, and direction from the White House, the president continues to send mixed and even inaccurate messages, focusing on his own personal narrow political agenda as opposed to the best interests of all Americans.
We’re here to change that by electing those who share our values, and we’re adapting to our new reality of social distancing. JDCA is preparing to give you the tools – online! – that you need to organize and take action before we all go to the polls in November. We will soon be announcing an increased number of calls with experts and supporters. Be safe. Take care of your family, friends, and neighbors. And don’t lose hope. We are all in this together, and will continue to be in touch and serve as as a resource, as well as a (digital) convener, during these uncertain times.
