Standing with California

January 9, 2025

We’re heartbroken by the devastating wildfires in California, and our thoughts are with those impacted by this crisis. We continue to pray for everyone’s safety and send our gratitude to the emergency responders trying to keep communities safe.

Our JDCA community mourns for the five people confirmed to have died in the fires and for all those who have lost so much amid this ongoing disaster. We fear for those who continue to be under threat and are praying for their safety.

Many in our JDCA community have been directly affected by these fires and have evacuated their homes. If you need support or want to support those in need, we encourage you to visit the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles’s Wildfire Crisis Relief page.

Now is the time to stand with our fellow Americans and do all we can to support those suffering from this crisis, many of whom remain in harm’s way in and around Los Angeles. We encourage you to take action and support the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles’s Wildfire Crisis Relief page.

We support those who have lost so much and stand with the L.A. community in its time of need.
