🚨 NEW DATA: Rising Antisemitism & the Far Right

Yesterday, the Anti-Defamation League released its 2022 Audit of Antisemitic Incidents. The results demonstrate that antisemitic incidents have risen to unprecedented levels and that rising white supremacy is the leading cause of this increase.

Right-wing extremism is a grave and growing danger to our community and democracy, and we are deeply concerned that such extremism has been tolerated, embraced, and normalized by the Republican Party.

The findings in this report reflect what we saw on January 6th: the incredibly dangerous convergence of right-wing extremism and hate and the threat this poses to our democracy and community. The dramatic rise of antisemitic incidents inspired by white supremacy requires us to underscore the dire threat posed by the GOP’s normalization of right-wing extremism. Our work is more important than ever, and we hope you’ll join us in combating right-wing extremism and hate.

HOLOCAUST DISTORTION FROM MICHIGAN GOP

This Wednesday, the Michigan Republican Party posted a deeply offensive tweet comparing common-sense gun control measures to the Holocaust. As we said yesterday, this tweet is just the latest “example of how the Republican Party is normalizing Holocaust distortion for political gain.” Halie appeared on Michigan’s Fox 47 News yesterday and called on MI GOP Chair Kristina Karamo to step down for her egregious defense of the tweet. Check out Halie’s interview here.
