The importance of winning in 2026 for Jewish Americans

As we near the end of 2025 and reflect on JDCA’s growing efforts to defend against the rising tide of authoritarianism, I want to be clear about what lies ahead.

Right now, Donald Trump and his MAGA allies control both chambers of Congress. They’ve used their power to undermine our democracy, slash Medicaid for 17 million Americans, destabilize the economy, make healthcare less affordable, and exploit the rise of antisemitism to enact their political agenda.

The 2026 midterm elections are our best chance to fight back and reestablish accountability, separation of powers, and transparency in government. Democrats taking back the House and winning key Senate seats in the midterms will provide a critical defense against Trump’s ongoing efforts to erode our democracy, damage our economy, and undermine our rights.

We at JDCA are proud of the work we’ve done in 2025, including significantly expanding our advocacy and organizing efforts, and bringing the fight to the ballot box and winning statewide elections in Wisconsin, New Jersey, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. As we prepare to significantly expand our efforts in 2026, we hope you’ll invest in our continued success by supporting our efforts.

In 2025, we channeled despair into action, broke JDCA records for advocacy and organizing, and created a blue wave in key states, thanks to your partnership and support. We’re building a critical line of defense for 2026.
