SIGN UP: Wisconsin Senate Primary Issues Forum

June 17, 2022

The January 6th hearings have made it abundantly clear: Donald Trump and his Republican allies knew that there was no credible evidence of voter fraud in the 2020 election. The Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the Capitol has revealed new disturbing details about the deadly assault on our democracy and the extent to which was enabled by Republicans who refused to certify the 2020 election. This unconscionable attack on our democracy and attempted coup underscores the importance of ensuring Democrats win in November.

Senator Ron Johnson in Wisconsin is one of the most extreme and dangerous Republicans in the Senate. He refused to certify the 2020 election, he’s defended Trump’s insurrection, and called January 6 a “peaceful protest.” He intentionally blocked the confirmation of Dr. Deborah Lipstadt to serve as the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, denied the scientific consensus on climate change, and received over $1 million from the NRA to block gun safety legislation. Defeating Ron Johnson is essential to defending our democracy and values from ongoing Republican attacks, and electing a Democrat in Wisconsin is key to expanding our Senate majority and stopping Republican obstruction.

The first step to doing so is ensuring Wisconsin’s voters elect the strongest Democratic candidate. There is a competitive Democratic primary in Wisconsin, and as the only national organization mobilizing Jewish voters, JDCA is excited to host an issues forum with the leading four Democrats in the Wisconsin primary election. The forum will provide candidates with an opportunity to highlight their views on issues of importance to Jewish voters. Join us on June 23, at 1:30 PM CST/2:30 PM EST for JDCA’s Wisconsin Democratic Senate Primary Issues Forum.
