New Ad Calls on Trump Admin. to End ICE Violence

WASHINGTON – Today, the national voice and political home for Jewish voters, the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA), launched a national TV ad demonstrating that Trump has “gone too far” with ICE, a view shared by two-thirds of American voters according to recent polling.

JDCA’s 30-second spot will first air nationwide Monday on MS NOW’s Morning Joe and digital media as part of an initial six-figure spend throughout the week. Fox News Channel refused to air the ad.

The ad can be viewed here.

The ad, titled “It’s Gone Too Far,” begins with footage of the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, followed by leading podcaster Joe Rogan asking: “Are we really going to be the Gestapo? Where’s your papers? Is that what we’ve come to?”

The ad includes footage of the chaos in Minneapolis, interspersed with headlines about the Trump administration “winking at white nationalists” and “trading blame as political pressure mounts.” It calls on President Trump to “Stop the abuse” and “Investigate the killings,” then concludes that “it’s gone too far,” which two-thirds of American voters believe to be the case when it comes to immigration enforcement, according to a new poll.

“Jewish Americans have long rejected Trump’s extremism, but it’s now reached a tipping point for our community and our country,” said Halie Soifer, CEO of the Jewish Democratic Council of America. “Every American needs to turn their outrage into action, and with the midterms on the horizon, now is a critical moment to reject Trump’s dangerous chaos.

“Images of the execution of American citizens in the streets remind us of the darkest moments in our history. As Jewish Americans whose values are threatened by this White House, we feel obligated to sound the alarm and declare that ‘It’s gone too far,’ which is precisely what we’re doing with this ad.”
