PETITION: Tell Speaker Johnson to do his job

October 29, 2025

Today marks 36 days since Adelita Grijalva overwhelmingly won her election to serve the people of Arizona’s 7th Congressional District. Today also marks the longest delay for swearing in a special House election winner in decades, since House Speaker Johnson has refused to administer her oath of office and, in the process, violated his oath and job requirements.

Join our efforts to demand that Speaker Johnson do his job so Rep.-elect Grijalva can do hers. Nearly 10,000 people have already signed our petition telling Mike Johnson to swear in Rep.-elect Grijalva. Share this petition with your friends and family to keep the pressure on Johnson and Republicans.

It’s past time, and Speaker Johnson’s delay is yet another attack on our democracy.

TELL MIKE JOHNSON TO DO HIS JOB

As Jewish Americans, we cannot stand by while Republicans dismantle our democracy to hide their corruption. Our tradition, our history, and our values demand that we act when democracy is threatened. By adding your signature to our petition, you can send a clear message to Mike Johnson and Republicans that the Jewish community demands transparency and accountability in our government.

TELL JOHNSON TO SWEAR IN GRIJALVA

Forward this email to your friends, family, and networks. Remind them that our democracy works when the American people have representation and every voice is heard.

Thank you for standing up for democracy.

In solidarity,

Sam Crystal
