JOIN US: Israel & Gaza – Two Years Later & What Comes Next
We are nearing the two-year anniversary of the October 7 terror attacks by Hamas that shattered lives, devastated families, and plunged Israel into war. In the months since, we have witnessed ongoing tragedy: the unbearable suffering of hostages still held by Hamas, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, mass protests across Israel, and ongoing threats to Israeli security and regional stability.
The horrific bus stop shooting today in Jerusalem underscores the instability in the region, and we pray for the victims of terror and their families. This tragic attack may also impact ongoing negotiations for a ceasefire and hostage release agreement between Israel and Hamas.
To discuss all of this and more, we invite you to join us this Wednesday for an important virtual conversation: Israel and Gaza: Two Years Later and What Comes Next. We will be joined by Michael Koplow, Chief Policy Officer of the Israel Policy Forum (IPF), who will reflect on the past two years, assess the current realities, and discuss potential paths forward.
On Wednesday, we’ll discuss how we grapple with these complex issues as Jewish Democrats – holding true to our values, advocating for the immediate return of all the hostages, calling for an end to suffering in Gaza, and working toward a secure and democratic future for Israel.
We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful and timely event.
In solidarity,
Bobby Saferstein
Chief Program Officer, Jewish Democratic Council of America
