JOIN US: Israel & Gaza Two Years After 10/7 – What Comes Next?
JDCA is proud to be the political home and voice of Jewish voters, playing a key role in bringing elected officials and policy experts to speak with Jewish Americans about issues of importance to our community, democracy, and values. Our virtual events are your chance to hear expert analysis on issues of importance to Jewish Americans, including those pertaining to Israel.
Join us on Wednesday, September 10, at 4:00 p.m. ET, for a special session marking nearly two years since the horrific attacks of October 7, considering what comes next as Israelis and Gazans near two years of war. We will be joined by Michael Koplow, Chief Policy Officer of the Israel Policy Forum, and Shira Efron, Distinguished Israel Policy Chair and Senior Fellow at the RAND Corporation.
Michael Koplow is the Chief Policy Officer at Israel Policy Forum and also serves as a Senior Fellow of the Kogod Research Center at the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America. Before coming to the Israel Policy Forum, he was the founding program director of the Israel Institute. He holds a Ph.D. in Government from Georgetown University, where he specialized in political development and ideology, and the politics of Middle Eastern states.
Shira Efron, a leading expert in Israeli and Middle Eastern affairs, recently returned to RAND as the Israel Policy Chair, established by The Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation and The Diane and Guilford Glazer Foundation. Efron brings two decades of experience in policy analysis and research, having previously led RAND’s Israel Program from 2016 to 2022. Most recently, Efron served as director of research and the Diane and Guilford Glazer Foundation senior fellow at Israel Policy Forum. She has also advised Israel’s Ministry of Defense and its National Security Council and co-chaired the subgroup on regional cooperation for Israel’s president’s climate forum.
Thank you. We look forward to seeing you next week.
In solidarity,
Sam Crystal
Chief of Staff, Jewish Democratic Council of America
