INVITE: The First Election of 2026
It’s 2026, which means the midterm election cycle has officially begun. This year, JDCA will play a leading role in advocating for and electing Democrats who share our values, ensuring that Democrats take back control of Congress.
Next week, we’re holding our first candidate forum of the year for the first House election in 2026 – the special election to replace now-Governor Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District. The primary will be held February 5, and the general election will be held April 16.
Please join us to hear from the Democrats running in NJ-11. JDCA holds candidate forums in elections like this one to hear from Democratic candidates on issues of importance to Jewish Americans.
Join our New Jersey 11th Primary Issues Forum on Tuesday, January 13, at 12:30 p.m. ET.

This forum is just the beginning of JDCA’s 2026 electoral work. We’ll be mobilizing Jewish voters nationwide to retake the House and Senate. The road to winning in the midterms begins now, and here are four ways you can get involved:
- Join our regional networks to be a part of our organizing efforts, including phone banks, text banks, and canvassing in your area to elect Democrats.
- Join our New England Regional Network Zoom Meetup with New Hampshire Rep. Maggie Goodlander next week.
- Support JDCA today so we can expand our work advocating, organizing, and impacting the outcome of elections.
- Become a 2026 JDCA member if you are not already, and be invited to exclusive events, including our upcoming January 22 briefing on “The State of American Democracy in 2026 with Marc Elias.”
Thank you for being a part of our movement and for your support and partnership.
In solidarity,
Sam Crystal
