Billionaire businessman and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has directed a sizable contribution to rally Jewish voters in the key swing state of Florida to support Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden ahead of the November 3 U.S. election.

The Jewish Democratic Council of America’s Super Political Action Committee, which represents Jewish Democratic Party supporters, announced Thursday that Bloomberg has donated $250,000 to their digital outreach campaign targeting Jewish voters in Florida.

The funds are part of Bloomberg’s larger commitment to spend $100 million in Florida to support Biden, which he says will allow his campaign to focus its spending on other states. Bloomberg himself vied for the party’s nomination during primary season, but after dropping out of the race in early March, has vigorously backed Biden.

“Every vote will matter in Florida, and Jewish voters in Florida have the chance to vote for a president who will unite us, not divide us,” Bloomberg said in a statement. “Joe Biden will be that president.”
